The above image is of a Persid Meteor that I caught from my back garden during the Persid Meteor Shower on August 12th- 13th 2017. This metor shower happens when the during the earth orbit around the Sun, we on earth pass through the debris of the comet Swift Turtle. It is called the Persids because the shower appears to radiates from the Constellation Perseus.
